What LP4 Dogtown Pet Spa Training Can Teach Your Dog
Our dog training program combines private, in-home lessons with group classes to help train your dog in real world situations. Train the way you live. We offer a free in-home demonstration where you’ll meet your dog’s trainer and discuss training goals. You’ll also get the opportunity to meet a dog that has completed the training to see the level of obedience you can reach. Let our professionals help you to achieve maximum control of your dog on and off leash while still letting your dog be a dog.
Nellie Bird – Head TrainerNellie started her training career by interning under a vet and then a dog trainer. Later she attended Starmark Academy for professional dog trainers and graduated from the 12-week program as a Canine Behavior Specialist and Professional Dog Trainer. She has worked under 3 dog training companies and later started her own dog training business and is now partnered with Dogtown. Nellie is very passionate about dogs and the training industry and has three dogs of her own.
Tim Schmidt - TrainerAfter growing up with dogs, it was a natural step for Tim to start working with dogs. He started Buddy Walk in the suburbs of LA in 2010 and found much success doing basic training and boarding. Business grew steadily until the beginning of 2019 when he was asked to move to Utah to manage Dogtown and he is now certified as a dog behavior specialist from Starmark Academy in Texas.
Puppy Social Hour
$20 / Class
This is a class held Saturdays at 12pm (noon) for puppies under 16 weeks old. We understand early socialization is essential for your pup.
Puppy Jump Start
Using Positive reinforcement, we offer socialization to sounds, objects, places, people and dogs. Early learning such as: name recognition, kennel training tips, potty training tips, preventing behavior issues, intro to come and leash walking, sit and place. This program includes 1-day train and 4 private lessons. Pup must be 8 weeks-6 months for this program and the day train can’t happen until at least 16 weeks old and current on shots. Choose between 3 group puppy classes (puppy circles, social time with other puppies, socialization to objects/sounds/etc.) or 2 puppy social hour classes up until 16 weeks of age.
Day train and private lesson program covering behavior issues such as jumping, lunging, barking, crate training, pulling on the leash, includes 2-day trains 1 private lesson and Equipment: recommended training collar and leash.
Day train and private lesson program designed for the owner to be more hands on and enforce most of the training. Dog learns manners like sit, down, and place stays, heeling, greeting kindly, waiting at doors, and other small behavior issues you may be having. Equipment: Recommended training collar and place cot and leash. Includes 4-day trains and 2 private lessons
Board & Train
Ideal Dog - 14 Day
The 14-day board and train include: Sit, down and place stays, heeling, greeting kindly, and behavior issues you may be having. Equipment: recommended training collar, place cot and leash. This is good for individuals going on vacations who don’t have as much time to put into training. Includes a go home lesson and one follow up private lesson to be used in 3 weeks of their go home.
Legend Dog - 21 Day
3-week (21 day) board and train-This training ensures the dog will listen the first time they are given a command and come when you call on and off leash. Your dog will be trained to sit calmly while you greet people, walk nicely on a leash, sit down and place stay on and off leash. This is great training for ESA, competitive obedience, a hiking buddy, aggressive and fearful dogs and pet dogs. This training includes: 3 private lessons, an Ecollar, place cot, a recommended training collar and a leash. This program also includes 6 months phone and email support for any issues you may come across. (Not all dogs are eligible for off leash results, trainer will help determine).
